SISTAHS ALIVE PREVENTION (SAPP)/ADVOCACY & MOVEMENT BUILDING
Sista's Alive Prevention Project (SAPP) is a gender specific program uniquely designed to meet the needs of women and heterosexual men at sexual risk. Participants will learn about health education, risk reduction and other social activities like drug and alcohol use which can impede on a person's decision making skills. The topics include: HIV 101, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) 101 & 102, Hepatitis A, B & C, Intimate Partner Violence Part 1 & 2, and Tuberculosis (TB) Facts.
Advocacy & Movement Building is a program designed for participants who have a desire to become Community Champions to bring about a change in their communities. Through this program participants will learn Ecology 101 (The study of people and how they interact within their environment, Advocacy 101, Media training and Public Policy Research.
